The Etchings and mono prints that will posted where all completed in 1994. This is the first time they will be seen by the public. The etchings are from original graphite drawing that I did in the med 70s. The etchings where made by positive film transfer to a plate making it a negative. The plate is inked with a color that I have mixed, it is then applied with a hard rubber roller using less pressure achieving shades. Archival paper is placed on top and is run though a press. I would change colors and add other images making for different looks, one will see in later posts. The Mono prints are smiler other then the plate can be any surface that can be inked. It is a much free-er form. I used plexiglass to ether roll, brush, scrap off, overlap or anything I wanted to do. Paper was placed on top and it to was squeezed through a press. Here and in the coming weeks you will see another part of my madness and love of art.
"THE GOODBY"
The print is on archival paper, size 4.3/4x7" paper size 11x14"
